Beatrice Smith is a financial strategist with over 20 years of experience in retirement planning. She has worked at several esteemed financial institutions, including 3 years at Fidelity Investments, 3 years with Abundant Living Financial Group, and over 20 years at Principal Financial Group.

Born and raised in Des Moines, IA, Beatrice attended local schools and graduated from North High. She also served in various areas at Corinthian Baptist Church. Beatrice's husband, Woody, was a private music teacher in several Des Moines and surrounding school districts and owned Woody's Drum and Music Shop.

Beatrice's career began at Bankers Life (now known as The Principal Financial Group), where she was responsible for implementing corporate retirement plans throughout the United States. She educated customers on the plans and contracts, as well as the policies, procedures, and laws surrounding them. Beatrice was also tasked with ensuring that the plans and contracts were written correctly.

She later became the Team Lead in the Benefits Calculation Unit and then moved on to Plan Administration. Afterward, Fidelity Investments hired Beatrice as a Project Manager in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. She interacted with customers to educate and assist them in developing retirement options for their employees. With almost 25 years of experience in the industry, Beatrice decided to shift her focus from helping corporate companies to educating and assisting individuals, their families, and friends about the New Rules of Money at Abundant Living Financial Services.
